Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Perform preventive maintenance tasks as time allows or as instructed by management.
Maintain the appearance and performance of slot machines and other devices as instructed for the purpose of improving guest impact and reducing down time for machines.
Repair slot machines and component parts as needed or as directed by management. Replace component parts as warranted to optimize guest impact. Repair components to a board level as time and materials allow.
Review audit reports to ensure machines and system are functioning properly and correct any issues which arise in the process. Review and maintain floor performance databases and reports to improve understanding of overall impact and provide input to management.
Provide opportunities for lower level technicians to observe methods and skills. Educate self and others as new products appear in the market, this would include all menu options and game setup procedures.
Circulate casino floor, watching for machines in need of repair or guests needing assistance. Check machine problem logs for any items in need of repair.
Assist in the pace and accuracy of projects, including any coordination needed with Vendor Field Technicians.
Assist in verification of EGM setups performed.
Attend Pre and Post shift meetings as required.
Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Professionally and thoroughly communicate with all departments through the use of verbal, written and e-mail communication.
Comprehend and follow written and/or verbal instructions from management.
Must possess sufficient mathematical skills needed to perform job functions.
Use all required equipment to perform job duties, including soldering irons, power tools, electronics testing equipment, and various hand tools. Must possess own hand tools.
Remain alert throughout the duration of the shift and remain calm during emergency situations.
Act independently while drawing conclusions from written, computer generated materials or company received directives.
Operate computer to access & input information using SDS, MS Excel, MS Word, etc. to perform job functions and assist guests.
Provide clear direction, instruction and guidance to guests. Must be able to listen and respond to guest inquiries in a positive and professional manner.
Ability of complex reading, writing, math and task completion skills is required.
Must have the following skills: coordination, analyzing, supervising, instructing, precision working, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making.
Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must have a minimum of 5 years' of slot mechanic experience preferably within a casino environment.
High School diploma/GED required or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
Must be able to maintain appropriate Gaming License.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, kneeling, and occasionally sitting and crawling during the duration of their shift.
Must be able to push/pull and lift/carry over 100lbs or less frequently.
The team member will frequently have repetitive use of both feet and hands and require frequent light and firm/strong grasping motions. Finger dexterity of both hands will be frequently required.
Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
