Job Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall project planning, organizing, management, coordination and administration of project and MSA work for Transmission construction services. The Project Manager will build professional relationships and will serve as a primary interface to the customer to ensure the successful completion of all projects and programs on time and within budget while ensuring safety is a top priority.
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Directly manage small to large-scale complex projects.
  • Maintain a Portfolio of Project work and/or MSA contracts supporting various customers.
  • Establish, track, and control project cost, scope, schedule, budget, to deliver assigned projects on time and within budget.
  • Provide budget and expense information to support financial, accounting, and Customer billing activities.
  • Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project success and develop risk mitigation plans and contingency strategies. Monitor and manage risks throughout the project life cycle.
  • Collaborate with the team to support all inventory management activities associated with equipment, incorporated material, consumables, tools and rigging, and other construction supplies.
  • Manage all project contracts with vendors and suppliers.
  • Track and manage daily production and revenue for all projects in collaboration with Operations.
  • Provide regular projects updates to management and team members while delivering weekly forecast updates on progress of the portfolio for the Division.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with all project stakeholders.
  • Act as a primary point of contact to our customers and understand their needs and objectives.
  • Support customer accounts and prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to clients as needed
  • Assist with architecting strategic plans within the division to pursue new business opportunities.
  • Develop digital and physical tools that aid in the quoting, tracking, and financial performance calculations of projects.
  • Assist with Developing processes that boost efficiency within the Project Team.
  • Support across operating units including Distribution, Substation and Oilfield Services as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the construction industry. Electrical project experience is strongly preferred.
  • Previous Program Management or Project Management role working directly on the delivery of HV Substations and/or Transmission Lines.
  • Strong project management skills, with PMP certification as a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong analytical skills.
  • Detailed oriented and analytical.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction, Engineering, Project Management, or similar (additional work experience may be substituted for degree).
  • 3-5 years of project management experience

Special Requirements
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of time required.
