Job description

Shop Foreman – Ford Certified Technician

Compensation: Competitive base salary + performance-based bonuses

Overview:

We’re looking for a driven and experienced Shop Foreman to lead and motivate our team of skilled Ford technicians. In this leadership role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining high repair quality standards, and helping the team consistently improve performance — especially by increasing total flag hours. You’ll serve as a hands-on leader, supporting both the technical and developmental growth of the team, while helping the shop meet and exceed productivity goals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work directly with the Service Manager to oversee technician workflow and shop operations.
  • Support the Service Manager in implementing strategies to increase total flag hours.
  • Motivate, coach, and mentor technicians to improve efficiency and repair quality.
  • Help assign work orders based on skill level and workload, ensuring optimal productivity.
  • Provide advanced diagnostic support and assist with complex or high-priority repairs.
  • Conduct quality control checks and support warranty compliance processes.
  • Collaborate with the Service Manager and service advisors to maintain clear communication and efficient customer service processes.
  • Track technician performance metrics and assist in performance reviews and training plans.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Ford Senior Master Technician or equivalent experience (required).
  • 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a service environment.
  • Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and workflow management skills.
  • High level of drive, energy, and the ability to lead by example.
  • Familiarity with Ford IDS/FDRS systems and DMS/workflow software.
