Job description

Role and Responsibilities
The Machine Maintenance and Facilities Technician will work closely with multiple leadership roles, including the Operations Management and the Technical Sewing Manager. The role involves taking high-level direction from the Operations team and daily supervision from the Technical Sewing Manager. In addition to the core responsibilities, this position also includes assisting with the assignment and tracking of work in their area of responsibility as determined by management.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Management:
  • Maintains, services, and conducts minor repairs on equipment.
  • Develop, document, and manage a Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program for all machinery.
  • Schedule and ensure completion of preventative maintenance tasks.
Facilities Management:
  • Maintain, service, and perform minor repairs on buildings.
  • Perform semi-skilled duties in plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, painting, or plastering.
  • Oversee skilled trades and contractors responsible for installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems.
  • Coordinate and oversee POA participation and oversees POA construction projects, and track service requests to ensure timely and quality completion.
Additional Duties:
  • Determine the scheduling for specific work on buildings and equipment as needed.
  • Assign qualified personnel to perform specific tasks when required.
  • Answer questions from staff and provide operational guidance when applicable.
  • Monitor compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist with aspects of safety program where needed and maintain a safe and effective working environment.
