Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The employee in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. All employees are required to practice the customer courtesy skills to ensure our guests are afforded a remarkable experience. The employee oversees all Security activities and team members on assigned shift as needed and directed by the Security Supervisor or Manager.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Ensure at all times operating principles are being adhered to:
    1. Clean โ€“ Keep all areas clean and pristine.
    2. Safe โ€“ Follow all safety policies and procedures.
    3. Friendly - Use customer courtesy skills to provide superior guest service.
    4. Fun โ€“ Have fun! Be interactive with all internal and external guests while maintaining professional standards.
  1. Interact with all guests and employees to positively affect interactions with guests and employees, and demonstrate resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions. Work effectively and courteously with fellow employees.
  • Assist in transporting money, chips, tokens and other assets.
  • Control access to restricted areas.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to guest and team member incidents and accidents.
  • Monitor guest and team member passage in and out of casino, including checking identification to guard against admission of minors.
  • Observe, identify and appropriately address intoxicated guests.
  • Assist Security Supervisor and Manager with monitoring staffing levels to ensure budgetary compliance.
  • Serve as team leader for emergency response drills and evacuations.
  • Provide direction and guidance to Security staff in the absence of the Security Supervisor or Manager.
  • Assist in assigning work to team members.
  • Have complete knowledge of all casino events and promotional activities.
  • Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all guests and team members.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures established by the Missouri Gaming Commission, Casino, and departmental management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, computer keyboard and telephone.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand complex instructions and communicate them to subordinates in a way that can be easily interpreted.
  • Ability to complete tasks in an interruptive environment under time pressures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and all levels of employees.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Ability to work in a brightly lit, smoke filled casino environment with above average noise levels.
  • Availability to work all hours of a day, all days of a week, varied work schedules, weekends, and holidays.
  • Standing, Walking, Bending, Lifting up to 30 pounds
  • Appropriate use of security-related equipment including flashlight, two-way radio, etc.
  • Knowledge of internal controls and Innkeeper Laws.
  • Knowledge of applicable OSHA regulations.
  • Understand and adhere to all Missouri Gaming Commission regulations and any other applicable federal, state and/or local regulations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of one year supervisory experience in a customer contact industry, preferably hospitality.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Valid MGC Level 2 Gaming license.
  • Must be able to receive and maintain all required certification.
  • Must complete all required company training.
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
