Job Description:

Vaxcom Services LLC (a Parsons company) is looking for an experienced Armed Assistant Security Supervisor to join our team in NC.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assisting the Security Supervisor in the overall management of the security team and serve as the Security Supervisor in their absence.
  • Directing the operations of your team ensuring that all areas are covered in accordance with SOPs.
  • Maintaining accountability of Government Furnished Equipment(GFE).
  • Be knowledgeable of all base security regulations and restrictions relative to base operations.
  • Ensure accountability of all officers on shift and ensure they are complaint with base policies and procedures.
  • Performing day-to-day security officer duties including but not limited to;
  • Control access to facility by monitoring surveillance equipment.
  • Inspecting vehicles,and ensuring all personnel entering the base have proper identification.
  • Responds to situations on base using the appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response by following established Use of Force Policy.
  • Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents that may occur during day or night.
  • Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity. Maintains proficiency and safety in the use of all assigned equipment, control devices, and weapons systems.
  • Attending 40 hours of In-Service training annually
  • Other ad hoc responsibilities as assigned by the Program Manager.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance or higher.
  • Must have a college or university program certificate or two to four years of related experience and/or training' or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have at least two years' experience in either law enforcement, department of corrections, security, or US Armed Forces.
  • Must be able to pass an annual physical fitness evaluation test consisting of a plank, hand-release push-ups, and shuttle run.
  • Must meet minimum qualification standards for NC PPSB certifications with Glock-17 handgun, and M4 Carbine Rifle.
  • Must have First Aid, CPR, and AED training.
  • Must have FEMA 100, 700, & 800
