Job description

Unarmed Security Lieutenant

Job Title: Security Supervisor (Unarmed, Uniformed)

Location: Large-Scale Product Storage & Distribution Facility

Shifts Available: Night Shift (12-hours)

Reports To: Security Director

Supervises: 10-15 Security Officers

Expected Start Date(s): June 1, 2026

Must have a minimum of 2-3 years exp supervising a team

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Team Supervision

  • Supervise, direct, and support a team of 10-15 security officers.
  • Ensure full post coverage with no lapses in security services.
  • Conduct shift briefings and pass-down communications.
  • Monitor officer performance and enforce company standards, appearance, and conduct policies.
  • Provide on-the-job training, mentoring, and corrective coaching as needed.
  • Complete performance evaluations and disciplinary documentation in coordination with management.
  • Promote professionalism, accountability, and strong customer service standards.

2. Access Control & Facility Security

  • Oversee all access control points, including:
    • Employee entry/exit screening
    • Visitor and vendor check-in procedures
    • Contractor verification
    • Vehicle and delivery inspections
  • Ensure badge access procedures are properly followed.
  • Verify documentation for inbound and outbound shipments as required.
  • Enforce client-specific security protocols and compliance requirements.

3. Asset Protection & Loss Prevention

  • Protect stored inventory, equipment, and high-value product.
  • Monitor for theft, diversion, or policy violations.
  • Ensure proper sealing and documentation of trailers and shipments.
  • Conduct periodic audits of security processes to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Coordinate investigations into internal or external security incidents.

4. Patrol & Surveillance Oversight

  • Ensure regular interior and exterior patrols are completed and documented.
  • Oversee CCTV monitoring operations.
  • Respond to alarms, suspicious activity, and emergency situations.
  • Ensure lighting, fencing, gates, and physical security systems are functioning properly.
  • Document and report any physical security deficiencies.

5. Incident Response & Reporting

  • Serve as the first line supervisor for all incidents occurring during shift.
  • Respond to medical, fire, security, or safety emergencies.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire, and EMS when required.
  • Complete detailed incident reports before end of shift.
  • Ensure officers complete accurate and timely documentation.
  • Maintain shift logs and daily activity reports.

6. Administrative & Operational Duties

  • Maintain shift scheduling and assist with coverage coordination.
  • Approve and verify timekeeping records.
  • Conduct post inspections.
  • Participate in client meetings as required.
  • Communicate operational concerns to management in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with company SOPs and client contractual requirements.
