Job description

Position Summary: Excel Sports Management is seeking a Social Media and Branded Content Manager. This person will help build and execute social strategy to meet talent objectives and goals across Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms as needed. The Social Media and Branded Content Manager will also assist in the production and delivery of social media content within clients' paid partnerships by working with external brand and agency partners, internal teams, and Excel Sports Managements' clients across multiple sports. This role will report into the Vice President of Social Media Strategy in the New York office.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Social media management:

  • Share content ideas, best practices, and strategy with clients for personal channels
  • Manage and post brand partnership content across client channels
  • Assist larger social team on owned and operated agency platforms as needed
  • Monitor social media trends, tools, and best practices to implement across social content
  • Build and maintain professional relationship with client

Branded content management:

  • Manage end-to-end talent branded UGC process by ideating concepts, scripts, and shotlists to provide strategic and creative solutions to drive impactful results against brand and client goals
  • Lead project progress and communicate effectively internally and externally to brand and agency partners
  • Assist in editing iPhone-first content using CapCut, Edits, or similar video editing software
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders on approvals and manage administrative tasks

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in social media and/or influencer marketing is a must
  • Experience working directly with talent is preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must have video editing proficiency
  • Passionate about social media content, trends, and best practices
  • Experience creating engaging content to grow audiences
  • Excellent organizational skills, focus and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and balance short-term and long-term projects
  • Ability to work outside working hours including nights, weekends, holidays when needed
  • Self-starter who can work on a small team in a dynamic organization
  • Must be able to think strategically, creatively, and problem-solve
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environment
  • Driven to increase industry knowledge and work to stay ahead of the curve
  • Passion for Excel's key sports, divisions and the sports landscape as a whole; interest in pop-culture and lifestyle trends

 

The pay range for this position is: $80,000- $90,000 per year. This position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus.
