Route Manager:
Eastern Waste Systems – Pompano Beach, FL

Eastern Waste Systems is a privately owned, locally operated Residential Bulk Removal Company. We are fast growing and have a strong presence in the South Florida area. We are looking for an enthusiastic professional candidate to add to our already exceptional management team. 
Position Objective:
  • Responsible for managing the bulk collection routes and driver performance on a daily bases.
  • Applies principles of positive leadership in the supervision of professional drivers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Directly responsible for the supervision of drivers and performance of daily operations per company standards and agreements.
  • Works with functional groups to resolve employee relations and labor/safety-related issues.
  • Establishes and maintains a clean and safe work environment in compliance with Company/Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
  • Attend safety meetings, manage and monitor safety initiatives to promote a safe working environment. 
  • Review all repair issues and address them with the maintenance department to ensure repairs are made.
  • Speak with Cities and municipalities to ensure all customers are serviced in a timely manner.
  • Perform Employee reviews.
  • Perform driver observations to endure all safety procedures are followed. 
  • Assist drivers to get routes completed per company agreements.
  • Ensure that drivers comply with DOT physicals, drug & alcohol testing and training. 
  • Monitor drivers scheduling time off.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
  • CDL a plus. 
  • Must be a self-starter who can effectively evaluate situations and take independent action to expedite the resolution of open issues.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Direct supervisor experience.
  • Bilingual preferred.

Schedule:
  • Monday - Saturday & Holidays.
  • Weekends as needed.

Ability to Commute:
  • Pompano Beach, FL 33069 (Required).
