Job description

Job Summary

Centex Roofing is seeking a motivated, hands-on Roofing Market Manager to support and oversee our growing Austin/San Antonio market. This is a field-forward leadership role designed for someone who wants to learn our systems, develop management skills. The Market Manager will work closely with the Director to oversee multiple roofing technicians, manage daily operations, and ensure quality repairs and customer satisfaction. This role requires time both in the office and in the field—supervising repairs and completing repairs, assisting with hands-on training, and learning how to run a profitable multi-family roofing operation from the ground up.

FLSA Status: Exempt

Work location: Austin/San Antonio

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support multiple roofing technicians across the Austin/San Antonio market
  • Supervise roofing repairs in the field to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency
  • Perform roofing repairs as needed alongside technicians
  • Write and present repair proposals and estimates
  • Track and review job profitability and assist with profit/loss reporting
  • Ensure jobs are completed on time and within budget
  • Communicate with customers, technicians, and management
  • Learn Centex Roofing systems, processes, and management expectations


Qualifications

  • Roofing and construction experience required
  • To be perfectly comfortable in elevated environments
  • Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Comfortable working in the field and on job sites
  • Ability to read, write, and explain repair proposals
  • Basic understanding of job costing, profit tracking, or willingness to learn
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Self-motivated, coachable, and growth-oriented mindset

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

This role combines field and office work. The Roofing Service Manager must lift materials, climb multiple stories, and work outdoors in varied weather. The position requires managing stressful situations, occasional long or weekend hours, frequent travel by car, and regular use of a personal cell phone.
