Job Description:
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain automated chemistry analyzers and lab equipment (e.g., Beckman Coulter, Roche, Siemens).
- Validate and interpret test results, ensuring precision and accuracy; take corrective action when necessary.
- Process, label, and store specimens according to lab protocols and CLIA, CAP, and HIPAA regulations.
- Perform quality control (QC), quality assurance (QA), and participate in proficiency testing programs.
- Document all activities in the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and ensure accurate data entry.
- Maintain lab inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals to provide timely and relevant diagnostic information.
- Assist in training new staff or students and help implement new lab protocols and technologies.
