  • Apply sound judgment to balance risk appetite with business development goals.

Portfolio & Account Management
  • Manage a book of business to achieve profitability, retention, and growth targets.
  • Monitor account performance, loss trends, and industry developments to adjust underwriting strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Broker & Client Engagement
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents, and insureds.
  • Communicate underwriting decisions clearly and negotiate terms effectively.

Collaboration & Internal Partnership
  • Work closely with actuarial, claims, risk engineering, and product teams to evaluate complex risks.
  • Contribute to product development, underwriting guidelines, and strategic initiatives.
  • Mentor junior underwriters or underwriting assistants as needed.

Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) required
  • 7+ years of related multi-line background required.
  • Existing producer relationships preferred.
  • Must have demonstrated negotiation and production skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
