Job description

We are seeking a C2 System Administrator to join our team! You will handle a variety of projects to support and improve the organization's network systems. Must have an active Top Secret Clearance!!

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure classified and unclassified servers and databases, workstations, peripherals, communications devices, and software are on-line and available.
  • Install, configure & maintain all C2 systems, servers and workstations as required.
  • Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of C2 systems, servers, and workstations.
  • Load system application software and patches as required.
  • Perform backup of systems.
  • Manage all small computer/terminal resources.
  • Manage user computer software configurations and tactical local area network systems.
  • Coordinate with users, workgroup managers, and communications focal point personnel to resolve computer software and hardware problems.
  • Coordinate with communications focal point personnel for changes to computers, servers, or local area networks systems on systems network; and be available to aid and advise during Development Test and Evaluation and Operational Test and Evaluation of systems and new technologies.
  • Provide systems administration in support of all operations, exercises as necessary throughout the year. Collaborate with local Training Managers as necessary to ensure mission qualification training requirements and instruction are accurate and reflect the individual configurations, technologies, and support responsibilities. 
  • Troubleshoot network & system issues, monitor active network and server infrastructure 
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and administer network security measures to prevent system interruptions or breaches.
  • Execute sensitive data backup and restoration procedures
  • Document all technical procedures and user guides

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing all aspects of information technology projects to include organizing, directing, coordinating, and planning activities.
  • A minimum of five (5) years demonstrated experience in systems administration of Solaris operating systems, VMWare, and Oracle software for servers and workstations.
  • At least four years of demonstrated experience performing systems administration, software application support, configuration management support, and IT support services to an entity, which includes the suite of applications: Active Directory, DNS, Exchange Time Server and VMWare.
  • Contractor shall acquire and maintain Windows Server Administrator, A+ and IAT level II certification(s) IAWDoD8570.1-M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement program within 45 days of hire.
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a field applicable to this position (e.g., information systems, computer science, math, or engineering)
  • Previous experience as a network or systems administrator
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and data protocols
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
