We offer stable, local routes that get you home daily, modern equipment, and a clear path for career growth. If you are a safety-minded driver with a "get it done" attitude, you belong in green.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Maintenance: Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections. Maintain accurate electronic logs and vehicle condition reports to ensure your rig is always "GFL Ready."

  • Safety Leadership: Strictly follow all safety standards, including Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures. Visually scan sites before and after dumping to ensure the safety of pedestrians and property.

  • Physical Agility: Open enclosure gates and, when necessary, roll 3-4 yard containers on castors into position for dumping.

Requirements:
  • Licensure: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B.

  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of commercial driving experience OR a certificate from an accredited CDL school.

  • Compliance: Ability to meet all DOT and Company criteria for safety-sensitive functions.

  • Skill Set: Proven ability to safely operate heavy equipment and navigate via key maps and GPS.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Basic knowledge of truck components and preventative maintenance requirements.

  • Waste Identification: Ability to recognize and report "unacceptable waste" (flammables, hazardous materials, etc.).

  • Communication: Strong ability to read, write, and follow oral/written instructions while communicating effectively with dispatch and customers.

  • Physical Power: Ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 lbs. repetitively.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
  • The Daily Grind: Work in a high-energy outdoor environment 100% of the time, regardless of weather (heat, rain, cold).

  • Physicality: Frequent climbing in and out of the cab, opening heavy corral doors, and occasionally climbing to the top of the truck to ensure loads are secure.

  • The Environment: Exposure to loud noise, moving mechanical parts, and motor vehicle traffic. You’ll be sitting approximately 75% of the shift while driving, with the remaining 25% involving high-activity site work.
