Field Automation Supervisor - Oil & Gas
Department: Automation

Location: Williamsport, PA
Description
As an Automation Supervisor, you'll lead a team of Field Automation Technicians and oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated water transfer systems. This hands-on leadership role ensures that our automation systems meet operational, safety, and customer expectations across remote sites and regional location.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily activities of automation technicians, assigning work and providing field support
  • Coordinate rig-ups, rig-downs, and troubleshooting of sensors, electrical equipment, and telemetry systems
  • Provide technical leadership on automation controls, data communications, and diagnostic processes
  • Train and mentor technicians on procedures, safety, and equipment use
  • Liaise with operations and customers to ensure expectations are met and documented
  • Perform quality control checks on field installations and ensure compliance with SOPs
  • Track equipment performance, maintenance needs, and field inventory
  • Assist with scheduling and project planning across multiple job sites
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of field activity

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in oil & gas or industrial automation, including fieldwork
  • Strong electrical, instrumentation, or controls background
  • Working knowledge of sensors, telemetry, IP networking, and SCADA/PLC systems
  • Proven leadership ability with team supervision or lead technician experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, travel regionally, and lead by example
  • Valid driver's license and clean MVR
