Under direction of the Director of Operations coordinates and oversees Car Rental operation, Lanai Service Station and Hotel Lanai. Serves as the Manager on Duty to cover operations in the absence of the Retail Manager. The Manager is responsible for maintaining the quality standards of the hotel rooms and common areas, as established by the Company and Owner.
Compensation:
$56,000-$65,000/year (Exempt)
Reporting Relationship:
Reports to: Director of Operations
Supervises: Staff at Lanai Car Rental, Hotel Lฤna'i and Lฤna'i Service Station

Responsibilities
Essential Duties
  1. Oversees the day to day Car Rental operations.
  2. Works closely with Four Seasons on vehicle reservations and coordination of delivery/pick up of Rental cars.
  3. Ensure that established par levels are maintained on all products.
  4. Prepare required reports including; Cost of Sales, Weekly Sales, Monthly Sales, etc.
  5. Responsible for oversight of the Hotel facility and 11 rooms. Ensure that the facility is well maintained and schedule maintenance as needed.
  6. Work with the Hotel team to create goals and action plans for the year that align with the Mission, Vision, and Values of Pulama Lanai. Monitor progress on a quarterly basis and reassess and adjust as necessary.
  7. As needed, assists with overseeing Lฤna'i Service Station.
  8. Ensure that Company policies and procedures with regard to handling cash, checks, credit cards, and merchandise refunds/exchanges are adhered to.
  9. Performs other duties.

Qualifications
Qualification/Requirements:
  • One to two years work experience in rental car or rental equipment business.
  • One to two years work experience in Hotel operations, preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Requires relating to people in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Requires working to the established procedures and maintaining reliable work attendance.
  • Requires the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Able to think and make effective decisions quickly.
  • Ability to create effective working relationships with employees.
  • Must be able to maintain a positive attitude and work under pressure.

Required Work Cards/Certifications:
  • Valid Hawaii Driver's License and successful review of Motor Vehicle Record

Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, and color vision.
  • The employee is occasionally required to operate objects, tools, or controls.
