The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center invites applications from exceptional scholars for a tenure leading faculty position at the level of Associate Professor or Professor. We seek candidates with active research programs applying innovative multidisciplinary approaches to the study of Women's Reproductive Health including Gynecologic Oncology, Uterine Disorders and Developmental Biology. We especially encourage applications from faculty candidates whose research is translational and has high potential for collaborative initiatives with clinicians and other researchers across the University. Candidates should have a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degree; postdoctoral experience; a solid publication record; and a history of externally funded independent research. Candidates will also be expected to contribute to the Department's teaching mission and to mentor graduate students and clinical fellows.
The department is undergoing a transformation that includes emphasis on clinical and translational research. The Olson Center for Women's Health Research Program has been active for nearly 30 years and has an established core of reproductive scientists. The University of Nebraska Medical Center has a wide selection of core facilities, centers and institutes (https://www.unmc.edu/vcr/about/centers), including the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center and the Child Health Research Institute (CHRI). UNMC has close ties with research programs at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care system.

Candidates must have a strong publication record and provide evidence of an independently led, externally funded research program.
