Staff Accountant

Wicker Point Golf Club – Alexander City, Alabama

Position Summary

Wicker Point Golf Club is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the club’s daily financial operations. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, assisting with member billing, and supporting monthly financial reporting. This is an on-site position based at Wicker Point Golf Club and is not a remote role.

Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely vendor payments
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and daily revenue reports
  • Assist with member billing, collections, and account inquiries
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting
  • Maintain organized accounting files and supporting documentation
  • Monitor inventory and expense reporting for clubhouse and golf operations
  • Collaborate with department managers to ensure accurate coding and budgeting
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
  • Assist with annual audits and tax documentation preparation
  • Provide administrative and accounting support to the Controller or Chief Financial Officer as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
