Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Desert Trauma Counseling Center, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing ethical and empathetic individual counseling sessions via video chat, ensuring that client confidentiality and comfort are always prioritized.
• Utilizing solution-focused treatment modalities tailored to each client's unique needs, enabling them to achieve their therapeutic goals.
• Developing comprehensive and individualized treatment plans in collaboration with your clients, dynamically adjusting these plans based on ongoing assessment of their progress and needs.
• Facilitating insightful discussions that help clients explore their feelings, thoughts, and relationships, fostering personal growth and emotional resilience.
• Regularly monitoring client progress within their treatment plans and introducing effective coping strategies that promote improved mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on working with stable, low-acuity adults presenting with diverse mental health concerns. Qualifications

To be successful in this position, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Education: A Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: You must hold a current, applicable license to practice independently without supervision, such as:
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• No provisional or limited licenses accepted, and no history of disciplinary actions.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a genuine, compassionate nature that allows for building strong therapeutic relationships.
• Proficiency in technological tools and platforms for telehealth services.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in telehealth delivery, particularly in a remote work environment. Familiarity with various mental health treatment modalities and an established network of referral sources will also be viewed favorably.
