Reports To: Maintenance Manager / Ammonia Refrigeration
Shift Options: 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 5:00 AM
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Summary:
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager – Ammonia/Refrigeration, the Assistant Refrigeration Manager is responsible for overseeing maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance of refrigeration systems. This role involves supervising technicians, managing daily operations, and ensuring safety and compliance across all refrigeration processes.


Education & Experience:

  • Trade school diploma or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years’ experience working with industrial/commercial refrigeration systems

  • Proven supervisory or managerial experience in refrigeration maintenance

  • Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration systems and equipment

  • Skilled in using hand and shop tools for system repair and maintenance

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturer instructions

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing daily refrigeration department operations

  • Oversee maintenance, repair, and performance of all refrigeration systems

  • Supervise, train, and motivate refrigeration technicians
