Job description

Position Overview:

52 Partners LLC is looking for an Assistant Real Estate Asset Manager to support the Asset Manager in overseeing and developing our portfolio of residential and commercial New York real estate assets. This role will assist with property operations, financial reporting, budgeting, vendor coordination, tenant and building records, and communication with property managers and service providers.

The ideal candidate has real estate industry experience, strong organizational and analytical skills, and hands-on experience using the program Yardi.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and organize electronic tenant and building files.
  • Review operating statements and monthly financial reports.
  • Prepare regularly scheduled reports on properties.
  • Assist in developing and managing annual budgets by forecasting requirements.
  • Monitor the cash and reserve funds of each property.
  • Assist in overseeing all aspects of building management and personnel and assess performance.
  • Ensure that all building permits, licenses, and related compliance items are current and compliant with local and state regulations.
  • Assist in identifying, discussing, planning, and negotiating with vendors to complete necessary capital improvement projects.
  • Ensure that vendors have appropriate insurance coverage and documentation.
  • Use Yardi to help manage property data, tenant information, reporting, financial records, and related asset management workflows.
  • Answer and direct phone calls.
  • Maintain contact lists.
  • Organize and schedule appointments.
  • Visit properties throughout New York City as needed.

Requirements

  • Real estate industry experience required; New York City residential real estate experience preferred.
  • Ability to visit properties throughout New York City in person.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • U.S. work authorization required.
  • Experience using the Yardi platform strongly preferred.
