Job description

JOB TITLE: Assistant Server (Seasonal with Pathway to Full-Time)

ABOUT THE RANCH AT ROCK CREEK

The Ranch at Rock Creek is an all-inclusive guest ranch covering 6,600 acres, nestled in one of Montana's most pristine valleys. THE OPPORTUNITY: SEASONAL TO FULL-TIME CAREER PATH

We are currently seeking dedicated Assistant Server to join our culinary team across the United States. We hire for this role as a seasonal position with a direct, performance-based pathway to Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) status. Staff members who demonstrate excellent attendance, a strong work ethic, and consistently meet performance expectations will be invited to transition to a full-time, year-round role. Primary Purpose of Position


Server Assistants collaborate with front of house staff in providing quality food and beverage service to guests, according to hotel specifications in a courteous and efficient manner. This role assists with maintaining the cleanliness of tables and service areas while being aware of guest presence and needs. Stock all wares and equipment needed for service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Maintain knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity and proper table set-up.
  2. Assist Servers and Bartenders with beverage and bread service, ensuring all tables are greeted and watered in a timely fashion and per property standards.
  3. Remove and transport soiled wares from tables to the dishwashing area.
  4. Clean and reset tables after guests depart in accordance with departmental procedures and seasonal requirements.
  5. Monitor and maintain cleanliness of assigned tables and service areas.
  6. Anticipate guests needs and respond promptly and acknowledge all guests.
  7. Be familiar with all hotel services and local attractions to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  8. Restock wait station throughout shift and based on business volumes.
  9. Clean coffee machine and other beverage equipment as assigned to the established standards.
  10. Complete all assigned side opening and closing duties.
  11. Maintain complete and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures.

Education/Experience

  1. 6 months experience in customer or food service preferred.
  2. Necessary State/Property required certifications for food and alcohol service.
  3. Valid drivers license

Skills/Equipment

  1. Anticipatory service and understanding of guests needs.
  2. Strong organization skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  3. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
  4. Ability to stand for long periods of time and move frequently from area to area.
