Summary
The Assistant Controller supports daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and analysis. This role requires strong accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements for Condo Associations
  • Manage asset replacement reserve study
  • Support payroll processing as needed
  • Assist with month-end close and financial reporting
  • Perform audits, reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Complete tax filings and rental reports
  • Track capital projects and maintain depreciation schedules
  • Attend and record Finance Committee meetings

Additional Duties

  • Support annual audits and inventory counts
  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Prepare reports and assist with special projects

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (including double-entry)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with computerized accounting systems
  • Hospitality accounting experience preferred
