Summary
The QC Supervisor is responsible for planning and directing activities concerned with the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for processes, materials, and products.
Essential Functions (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
  • Oversee performance management and supervision of all QC Team Leaders and Members of the QC Department
  • Manage Team Member schedules and daily attendance
  • Manage and monitor torque audits using Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts, data form, and Torque Auditor
  • Communicate with supporting departments and management on any operational, safety, and quality issues
  • Assist with the development of Quality Documents including, but not limited to, work instructions, procedures, and flowcharts
  • Monitor and inspect the quality of product, repairs, workmanship, proper labeling, allocation, and staging of parts received externally and manufactured internally
  • Interface with management and internal trainer to develop and implement training programs as required
  • Record and maintain Team Member records including attendance, work hours, training, and performance
  • Consistently provide communication of all quality information and objectives to Quality and Production management, supervisors, and Team Members
  • Prepare daily and month-to-date quality reports for review by management team
  • Implement and oversee Corrective Actions and Discussion Planners as necessary to correct performance issues
  • Maintain and manage good quality processes and 5-S standards within the QC Department
  • Comply with and promote safety in the workplace
  • All other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)
Required Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role in Quality Control within a high-capacity manufacturing environment

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Good Verbal and Written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to make good decisions and take decisive action in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with subordinates

Preferred Education & Experience:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree
  • Working knowledge of 8D, 5 Why, and Six Sigma
  • 1-3 years of automotive experience
  • 2 years of experience in Just in parts manufacturing (Injection/steel parts) in Automotive industry (SQA, Procurement, Development, Manufacturing control)
  • Working experience with Hyundai / Kia / Mobis
  • Experienced in automotive assembly/manufacturing

Working Conditions: 30% office, 70% production floor, 2nd shift
