They are responsible for reviewing evidence, filing charges, presenting cases in court, negotiating plea deals, and working closely with law enforcement. Their main goal is to seek justice by ensuring that those who commit crimes are held accountable while also protecting the rights of the accused. Assistant Prosecutors may also advise police during investigations and participate in training or community outreach programs.
