About the Role

The Accounting Assistant owns the day-to-day bookkeeping across our portfolio of companies. This is a hands-on, high-volume position that spans the full accounting cycle in a complex, multi-entity environment. The role reports directly to the Director of Finance.

Key Responsibilities

– Process and manage accounts payable, including coding, entry, and payment runs

– Handle accounts receivable and client invoicing across multiple entities

– Perform bank reconciliations with accuracy and consistency

– Conduct collections follow-up with clients and vendors

– Support month-end close activities

– Maintain organized, accurate financial records across all entities

– Assist with ad-hoc reporting and special projects as needed

– Experience as an accountant or bookkeeper within a consulting firm, marketing agency, retail business, or property management company

– Multi-entity or intercompany accounting experience

– Interest in incorporating AI tools into accounting workflows
