Assistant Project Manager

Moss' Assistant Project Managers are responsible for assisting the Project Manager in the administrative and technical management of the project. They assist in supervising all activities related to contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, and scheduling.

Moss' Assistant Project Managers manage preconstruction services by reviewing Design Documents, identifying key Subcontractors, investigating sites, analyzing labor markets, identifying long-lead items, developing Bid Packages, developing schedules, developing site utilization plans, conducting pre-bid conferences, developing Project Procedures Manuals, and coordinating and obtaining permits.

Moss' Assistant Project Managers manage project financial responsibilities by developing and maintaining Project Financial Reports, developing and maintaining Labor Cost Reports, setting up Project Schedules of Values, approving miscellaneous job expenditures, preparing monthly Owner Requisitions, processing monthly requisitions, managing change order processes, assisting in Loss-Control Management, administering Owner Purchase Programs, managing project assets, and enforcing Company bonding and insurance policies.

Moss' Assistant Project Managers manage project start-ups by developing Scopes of Work, setting up filing systems, setting up JMIS/Iris Systems, developing Purchasing Schedules, obtaining insurance and bonds, establishing Schedules of Project Meetings, developing Quality Control Programs, developing Loss Control (Safety) Programs, setting up and distributing project directories, and mobilizing onto site.

Moss' Assistant Project Managers manage field operations by conducting trade preconstruction meetings, coordinating Subcontractors and Vendors, coordinating permit inspections, maintaining subcontractor relationships, managing Quality Control Programs, managing Loss Control (Safety) Programs, managing Shop Drawing processes, managing material expediting processes, managing daily cleanup, managing rental equipment, performing daily jobsite walks, coordinating specialty inspections, and managing start-up and commissioning of equipment.

Moss' Assistant Project Managers promote client relations by interacting regularly with Owners and complying with client needs.

Moss' Assistant Project Managers manage project closeout and post construction services by obtaining Certificates of Occupancy and other government approvals, submitting "As-Built" Drawings, submitting Operation Manuals, completing Punch Lists, coordinating Owner move-ins and start-ups, finalizing Owner Training Programs, obtaining and delivering warranties and transferring attic stock, demobilizing field operations, closing out subcontracts, submitting Project History Reports, completing Asset Transfers, obtaining client referrals, archiving project records, and administering warranty period services.

Moss' Assistant Project Managers promote the company by participating in Company-sponsored events, participating in Task Team Committees, participating in industry-related organizations, teaching and/or training employees, participating in college recruiting and related activities, participating in general recruiting, participating in Company presentations, participating in Project PR events, and seeking positive PR opportunities.
