Job description

Position Description:
The Assistant Project Manager supports the planning, execution, and successful delivery of electric transmission capital projects by assisting with project scope, schedule, budget, contract administration, risk management, and stakeholder coordination. Working under the direction of a Project Manager, this position manages assigned portions of projects while coordinating engineering, construction, procurement, environmental, real estate, regulatory, and contractor activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with company standards.
Essential Job Tasks:
  • Project Planning & Execution - Assist in planning and delivering transmission capital projects by coordinating project activities, schedules, budgets, and resources throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Project Controls & Financial Management - Support project financial performance by monitoring budgets, processing project costs, and assisting with forecasting and reporting.
  • Contract Administration - Assist with administering contracts, purchase orders, and change orders while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Risk Management & Compliance - Support compliance with company standards, safety requirements, regulatory obligations, and project governance processes.
  • Stakeholder Coordination - Coordinate communication and collaboration among internal teams, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
  • Construction Support - Provide project support during construction by coordinating field activities, resolving project issues, and assisting with project closeout.

Position Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED required. Associate's degree preferred.
  • +3 years of relevant experience supporting engineering, construction, utility, industrial, or infrastructure capital projects preferred. Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, or construction management is preferred.

Compensation Information:
$75,500 - $94,350 (min. - mid.)
