Join Our Team as an Assistant Project Manager

Are you looking to take the next step in your career in the construction industry? Look no further! RMT Construction & Development Group, LLC is seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Richmond, VA. As a leading general contracting and construction management firm, we offer a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth and development.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to schedule and oversee construction activities
  • Support Project Managers with RFIs, submittals, change orders, project documentation, scheduling, and overall project coordination
  • Process and track sub invoices, pay applications, and project billing
  • Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with project progress tracking and coordination
  • Assist with project closeout, including punch lists, warranties, and turnover packages

Required Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial construction project coordination, Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar project-management-track role
  • Strong knowledge of construction management principles
  • Experience with subcontractor invoices, pay applications, and project billing
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Procore software experience
  • Microsoft Project

Salary and Benefits:

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications, plus performance-based bonus opportunities.
