Assistant Project Manager โ€“ Data Center Development

Northern Virginia


Harper Harrison is supporting a confidential, rapidly growing data center developer in the search for an Assistant Project Manager to support large-scale mission critical developments across Northern Virginia.


This is an opportunity to join a lean team during a significant growth phase, working on major projects from the earliest stages while gaining broad exposure across the full development and construction lifecycle. The business has built a strong track record of developing talent internally and creating progression opportunities as projects and teams expand.


You will work closely with senior leadership and project teams across planning, design, construction and execution activities while taking ownership of key project responsibilities.


Responsibilities:

  • Support project delivery across planning, design, permitting and construction phases
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders
  • Assist with project schedules, budgets and progress tracking
  • Participate in contractor management and construction oversight activities
  • Help identify and mitigate project risks impacting cost or schedule
  • Support reporting, documentation and project controls processes
  • Contribute to quality and safety oversight throughout project execution


Background sought:

  • 2+ years of experience within construction, project engineering, project management or related environments
  • General Contractor experience preferred
  • Exposure to complex construction projects
  • Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related technical background preferred
  • MEP exposure is beneficial
  • Data center experience is welcomed but not required
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
