Job description

This position is a key member of the Finance Team and supports assigned funds, financial systems, and programs, including ASB, Food Service, donations, and grants. The position works closely with the Finance Director, Operations Director, District staff and external agencies to maintain accurate financial records, support program requirements, resolve issues, and provide helpful guidance on financial processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's Degree and/or experience in accounting, finance, grants, ASB, Foodservice, or related field is preferred.
  • Any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the necessary skills and abilities may be considered.
  • Basic accounting, budgeting, or fund accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and the ability to learn financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of general practices related to confidentiality and record keeping.
  • Work independently while also collaborating as part of a team.
  • Organize and maintain accurate financial information and manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Research questions, identify solutions, and learn new regulations, technology, and financial systems.
  • Communicate clearly and provide helpful guidance, training, and support to staff.
  • Build positive working relationships with District staff, auditors, agencies, vendors, and community members.
  • Maintain accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality while adapting to changing priorities.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule, including occasional additional hours during audits, fiscal year-end, system implementation, and special projects.
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Background/fingerprint check ($75 fee)

FUNDING ACCOUNTING, GENERAL LEDGER AND GRANTS RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage assigned funds, including ASB, Food Service, donations, grants, and other assigned funds, ensuring financial activity is accurate and properly documented.
  • Manage and monitor assigned financial and receipting systems, including InTouch Receipting, and provide support to school and department staff.
  • Review and reconcile financial activity, correct errors, maintain records, and complete financial transactions, reports, invoices, reimbursements, grant claims, and related documentation.
  • Assist with grant applications and budgets and monitor grant funding, expenditures, deadlines, reimbursements, and reporting.
  • Support audits, reviews, and compliance activities by preparing reports, reconciliations, and requested documentation.
  • Develop and maintain procedures, training materials, and internal controls and provide training and ongoing support to staff.
  • Maintain confidential records and communicate professionally with staff, students, parents, vendors, agencies, and community members.
  • Manage financial transactions and data while maintaining accuracy and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Occasionally work evenings or weekends to support grant or foundation meetings and to provide technical assistance for school ASB activities.

FOOD SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor Food Service finances and program requirements and develop a working knowledge of State and Federal school nutrition requirements.
  • Maintain and monitor Mealtime.
  • Complete required financial and program reporting and assist with ODE audits, reviews, monitoring, and corrective actions.
  • Research changes in Food Service requirements and help staff implement necessary updates.

WAGES:ย  $27.36 $35.70 per hour depending on experience and per the 2026/27 Confidential salary scheduleย
