About this Role:

The Project Manager, Civil Engineering is a senior technical and leadership role responsible for managing clients, leading civil engineering design, and overseeing project delivery from concept through permitting and construction support. This position requires a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) with significant hands-on design experience, not solely administrative or construction management experience. The role reports directly to the Vice President, Engineering. This position combines technical leadership, project management, and client-facing responsibility, with an emphasis on public- and private-sector infrastructure and site development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Technical Lead for the Civil Engineering group
  • Provide hands-on engineering design and oversight, including Stormwater management and hydrology/hydraulic (H&H) analysis, Drainage design and grading plans, Erosion and sediment control systems, Water distribution and wastewater collection systems, and Roadway and access design
  • Perform and/or oversee technical reviews to ensure compliance with State DOT standards, County and municipal regulations
  • Seal engineering documents as required and maintain responsible charge
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and staffing resources, oversee all client communications, ensuring expectations, deliverables, and quality standards are met.
  • Coordinate project activities among internal teams, subconsultants, vendors, and agencies, and provide financial oversight including budgets, scope changes, invoicing, revenue, and accruals

Requirements:

  • 8+ yrs. of progressive site design experience
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Multi-jurisdictional project experience (municipal, county, state)
  • Prior experience serving as Engineer of Record
  • BS in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or Environmental Engineering from ABET-accredited four-year college.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) required

Preferred:

  • Experience working with state DOT or transportation agencies

Working Hours: Full-Time; Onsite/Remote/Hybrid

Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00+ annually; compensation is based on skills, experience, and education.
