Description

We are seeking an Assistant Construction Project Manager to join our team at ECBuild!


The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for submittal review, expediting, coordination, problem resolution (RFI's), document control and be the touchpoint between multiple parties including Subcontractors, Owners and other key members of the construction team.


Essential Functions:

  • Assist in management of all features of the assigned project(s) from start through closeout
  • Reinforce the management of the project requiring effective interaction and coordination with internal team members as well as external parties
  • Ensure scope is executed according to the contract and prevent unplanned/unbudgeted work
  • Attend all project meetings as required by the Project Manager
  • Maintain and keep current all construction documents (Submittals, RFI's, change orders, drawings, specifications, etc.) and prepare as-built documents
  • Assist with Quality Control/Quality assurance efforts
  • Support the job cost management efforts
  • Prepare and distribute meeting minutes
  • Manage RFI process
  • Manage Submittal process
  • Organize all material testing documentation and track all non-conformance issues to closure
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, as required by Project Manager

Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related field required
  • Minimum three years' construction experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager
  • OSHA 30 Hour Certified
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); subcontractor agreements, estimating, schedules and safety required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills essential
  • Excellent time management skills and a high attention to detail
  • Proficient with project management software - Procore, CMiC or similar
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel
  • Proficient with Bluebeam
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel and work at various locations
  • Ability to work well with diverse, multi-disciplined groups
  • Project Types: Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Laboratory, MEP and Commercial Experience is a plus
