Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Field Engineer to manage and support construction projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Document Control, Requests for Information (RFIs), version control, and project management. This role involves coordinating with clients, project teams and 3rd-party engineering review, ensuring compliance with project contract specifications, and maintaining efficient workflows to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination: Support the project manager in overseeing pre-construction and on-site construction activities, ensuring alignment with project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Document Management Review and manage project documentation, including drawings, submittals, RFIs, and schedules, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
  • RFI Processing: Prepare, track, and resolve Requests for Information (RFIs) to address design or construction issues, coordinating with vendors, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Version Control: Maintain strict version control for project documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure all stakeholders work with the latest revisions.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards and project requirements.
  • Subcontractor Coordination: Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to troubleshooting any issues with materials and services, resolving any on-site issues.
  • Project Reporting: Generate and distribute progress reports, meeting minutes, and other documentation to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Schedule Management: Assist Project Managers in developing and updating project schedules using tools like Procore or MS Project, identifying potential delays and proposing solutions.
  • Quality Control: Ensure work meets project specifications, building codes, and industry standards through regular quality checks and coordination with QA/QC teams.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 2-5 years of experience as a project engineer in construction, with on-site project management experience.
    • Experience managing RFIs and maintaining version control for project documents.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
    • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
    • Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with diverse teams.
    • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Other Requirements:
