Job description

We are seeking an assistant Project Manager to support the State of Good Repair (SOGR) Device Replacement/Upgrade Project. This large-scale initiative is focused on replacing/ upgrade all iPhones and iPads that are either over five (5) years old or incompatible with the upcoming iOS 18 update. This project will involve coordinating with various departments to assess current inventories, develop a detailed replacement plan, and ensure that all new devices meet current IT and security compliance standards. The assistant PM will also oversee the logistics and execution of the deployment schedule. The assistant PM will need experience managing enterprise-level technology refresh projects, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and a proven track record of delivering on-time and within scope.

Experience regarding managing and controlling the personnel and projects required to successfully implement and maintain computer systems. Directs scheduling, technical direction, planning and standard development practices groups. Develops and meets Project schedules to ensure timely completion. Other tasks include perform hardware/software evaluation: analyze and recommend appropriate strategies; perform administrative functions: adhere to an established System Development Methodology (SDM); familiarization with software engineering tools and techniques (Microsoft Project, Primavera, etc).

Additional Skills and Information: 

This position will manage and execute all aspects of technology projects in any one of the following specialties: systems/business analysis, development and implementation of applications in a networked PC environment, PC/LAN support or technical writing. Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline, four to six years' experience in the appropriate specialties and a minimum of two years' experience as a project manager. Experience should include a sound understanding of technical issues and outstanding planning (experience in preparation of project plans a must), scheduling, implementation, and evaluation skills. Excellent ability to communicate verbally and in writing with the user community and the technical staff is essential.
