Job description

Summary

The Procurement Expeditor, reporting to the Procurement Manager, is responsible for the follow-up and expediting of critical material commodities, equipment and supplies for Enerflex's Engineered Systems unit. 

Principle Responsibilities and Duties
  • Work with outside vendors and service providers to coordinate projects and deliverables to meet project production and on-site construction schedules.
  • Prepare and provide expediting reports to project team/manager to communicate status of equipment and materials.
  • Update purchase orders in SAP with correct, accurate delivery dates on an as-needed basis
  • Resolve material discrepancies on shipments from suppliers.
  • Facilitate repair or replacement of defective materials.
    • Monitor Supplier performance.
    • Maintain knowledge of the local factory representatives and authorized distributors
    • Maintain current published price list and discount schedules.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of purchasing and contract principles
  • Knowledge of procurement methods and procedures
  • Professional attitude and be a team player.
  • Good organization, interpersonal and time management skills
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with vendors, other employees, and the public.
  • Proven job diligence, dedication, and attention to detail
  • Comfort and experience interfacing with various levels of staff and management
  • Commitment to work overtime on occasion
  • Basic proficiency in use of computer and Microsoft Office (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Adobe, etc.)
  • 2-4 years' experience with SAP-MM or similar ERP system
  • Preferred Education and Formal Training:
    • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent work experience
  • Desired Experience:
    • 3 - 5 years of applicable procurement experience in the manufacturing sector of an engineered product
    • Knowledge of mechanical accessory components and equipment preferred.
