About the RoleJabezco Industrial Group is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of industrial, mechanical, and construction projects. This role serves as the key link between project management, engineering teams, field personnel, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
As a Project Engineer, you will:
Coordinate engineering and construction activities throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
Assist Project Managers with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and resource allocation.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and recommend solutions to maintain project schedules and budgets.
Prepare project reports, meeting minutes, progress updates, RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation.
Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Perform site visits, field inspections, and construction observations to verify quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications.
Support change order management, contractor coordination, material tracking, and project documentation.
Assist with project commissioning, testing, startup, and closeout activities.
Promote and enforce company safety standards, quality assurance procedures, and industry best practices.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency and client satisfaction.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3–5 yearsof experience in project engineering, industrial construction, mechanical contracting, or a related industry.
Strong understanding of engineering principles, industrial construction methods, and project delivery processes.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, PIDs, specifications, contracts, and technical documentation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management or scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.
Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Preferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) license.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Experience in industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, process piping, utilities, energy, water/wastewater, or heavy mechanical construction.
Knowledge of project controls, scheduling, estimating, cost management, and risk assessment.
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
