Job description

Project Engineer is responsible for assisting in the management of construction projects assigned, through the bid/ proposal phase, planning and buyout phase, construction phase, closeout phase, and warranty period.


Responsibilities

•     Responsible for client satisfaction, project quality, cost control and schedule adherence, and working as a team with Project Managers and Project Superintendents

•      Shall conform to applicable corporate policies and procedures, uphold ethical standards, and exemplify corporate values

•      Administration of shop drawings and submittals RFIs

•      Review shop drawings and submittal for conformance to project requirements,

•      Administer and manager Request for Information (RFI) process

•      Assist project Manager with all elements of the project management team

•      Assist Superintendent with management of daily jobsite operation

•      Prepare correspondence, meeting minutes, task lists, work lists, etc. as directed by Project Manager and Superintendent

  • Coordinate with subcontractors and material vendors to performance and delivery of services, material, and equipment

•      Coordinate and direct the activities of professional service providers such as material testing and surveying firms •           

Assist Project Manager with distribution of project drawings, specifications, change order requests, etc.


Requirements

•      BS in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline, or related combination of technical training and/or related experience

•      Knowledge of commercial construction processes and technical skills

Preferred knowledge in electrical

•      Must possess computer skills and have a working knowledge of the following program: Microsoft Excel and Word, Construction scheduling programs such as Microsoft project or Suretrak

•      Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

•      Must have ability to work in a team-oriented environment
