Job Title: Assistant HVAC Project Manager

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established mechanical contractor seeking a motivated Assistant HVAC Project Manager to join its growing team in Manchester, New Hampshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, HVAC Coordinator, or experienced field professional looking to continue developing their project management career. The successful candidate will support the delivery of commercial, industrial, healthcare, and residential HVAC projects throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with managing HVAC projects from initial handover through completion
- Support project schedules, budgets, procurement, and cost tracking
- Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and project documentation
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams
- Manage RFIs, change orders, purchase orders, and material releases
- Track project progress and provide regular updates to senior management
- Attend project meetings, site visits, and coordination meetings
- Assist with equipment and material procurement
- Help identify project risks, delays, and scope changes
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation
- Support project closeout, commissioning, and handover activities
Requirements:
- Previous experience within HVAC, mechanical construction, or building services
- Experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, Project Coordinator, or similar role preferred
- Understanding of commercial HVAC systems, equipment, and installation methods
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
- Degree or qualification in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is beneficial but not essential
- Knowledge of the New Hampshire construction market is preferred
