Job description

Overview: We’re looking for a sharp, quality-focused, detail‑driven Aerospace Quality Engineer to join our team and help ensure that every component, system, and process meets the highest standards of safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. In this role, you’ll work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and our customers to drive continuous improvement and uphold the rigorous quality expectations of the aerospace and defense industries. If you get a thrill out of solving problems, tightening up processes, and knowing your work directly impacts what goes into the sky, you’ll fit right in.

This position requires physical presence in Clifton Springs, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain product and company reputation by complying with industry standards, customer requirements and government regulations
  • Successfully calibrate with operations, engineering, supplier quality and other Lisk functions to reduce/eliminate production/part defects
  • Successfully interface with customers on resolution of issues and clarification of requirements
  • Prepare quality documentation by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes for compliance
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Determine conformance to specifications and assist to disposition nonconforming material
  • Approve manufacturing routes prior to release and after changes
  • Complete ERP transactions accurately and in a timely fashion to support Lisk deliverables
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and problem solving within teams using standard problem solving tools (e.g. DMAIC, 8D, 5Why)
  • Participate as a subject matter expert in new product development projects
  • Support external and internal audits


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical-, Electrical-, Manufacturing-, Industrial Engineering or Quality related fields. At a minimum a 2-year degree in the above fields
  • A minimum of 3 years of working experience in Quality Engineering
  • Experience with FAI, RCCA, SPC, PPAP, APQP preferred
  • Understanding of AS9100 preferred
  • Experienced with MS Excel required
  • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances and inspection practices
  • Desired: Knowledge of LEAN / Six Sigma Techniques
  • Should have a passion for quality, problem solving, process improvement, and customer satisfaction
