Cochran's Ozark, Missouri location, is looking for a Field Survey Technician to join our team.
Position Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Field Survey Technician to join our civil engineering team. The ideal candidate will assist in collecting accurate field data, performing surveys, and supporting the preparation of engineering plans. This role requires hands-on fieldwork, technical proficiency, and strong teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct field surveys using conventional and GPS surveying equipment
  • Collect, record, and verify accurate measurements, notes, and data in accordance with project specifications
  • Assist in the preparation of survey maps, sketches, and reports
  • Set up and operate survey instruments, including total stations, levels, and GPS units
  • Ensure adherence to safety procedures and maintain survey equipment in good working order
  • Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and project managers to support design and construction projects
  • Travel to various project sites as required

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering technology, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years field surveying experience
  • Proficiency with survey instruments and data collection tools
  • Knowledge of civil engineering plans and terminology
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under varying conditions
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license
