\n EBC is actively seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our Ontario Building Division where he\/she can utilize their extensive knowledge to contribute to the continued success and growth of the organization.<\/span>\n

\n Reporting to the Project Manager, the Assistant Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that the project is completed safely, on schedule and in compliance with the contract and job cost estimates.<\/span>\n

\n Key Responsibilities:<\/span>\n
\n <\/div>\n
    \n
  • Assist the PM in the overall planning and scheduling of project including monitoring and reporting.<\/span>\n
    <\/li>\n
  • Assist the PM in all functions and operations of project including compliance with local legislative and labour requirements.<\/span>\n
    <\/li>\n
  • Ensures that Company policies and procedures are followed in all aspects of project execution.<\/span>\n
    <\/li>\n
  • Manage and coordinate project within budgets.<\/span>\n
    <\/li>\n
  • Assist the PM in preparing the  project cost status reports in terms of percent complete, cost to date and cost forecast.<\/span>\n
    <\/li>\n
  • Identify project concerns and alert management of potential risks on assigned projects. Develop a plan to minimize detrimental impacts and mitigate risks.<\/span>\n
    <\/li>\n
  • Monitor the overall progress of the project on an ongoing basis and takes corrective action where necessary.<\/span>\n
    <\/li>\n
  • Assist the PM in preparing budgets, forecasts and reduce risk through managing scope and contract change.<\/span>\n
    <\/li>\n
  • Ensure that all scope and contract changes are submitted and approved by the client. <\/span>\n
    <\/li>\n
  • Responsible for implementing and monitoring of the Company's Safety Policy and Program.<\/span>\n
    <\/li>\n
  • Responsible for implementing and monitoring of the Company's Quality Assurance Program and related requirements.<\/span>\n
    <\/li>\n
  • Manpower acquisition, Equipment Management and Material procurement.<\/span>\n
    <\/li>\n
  • Assist the PM in the management of all aspects of subcontractor work execution and contracts.<\/span>\n
    <\/li>\n
  • Preparation of progress billings.<\/span>\n
    <\/li>\n
  • Assist in the collection of outstanding payments.<\/span>\n
    <\/li>\n
  • Carry out site safety inspections.\n
    <\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <\/div>\n

    \n <\/div>\n <\/span>\n
    \n \n Requirements<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Minimum 3 \- 5 years of industry experience.<\/span><\/span>\n
      <\/li>\n
    • Technical background with professional accreditation (P.Eng.\/ CET) or combination of technical training and\/or related experience. <\/span>\n
      <\/li>\n
    • Read, analyze, and interpret technical design drawings.<\/span>\n
      <\/li>\n
    • Scheduling experience and analysis skills.<\/span>\n
      <\/li>\n
    • Computer proficiency.<\/span>\n
      <\/li>\n
    • Written\/oral communications.<\/span>\n
      <\/li>\n
    • Presentation skills.<\/span>\n
      <\/li>\n
    • Problem solving and organizational skills.<\/span>\n
      <\/li>\n
    • Cost analysis, control, and reporting.<\/span>\n
      <\/li>\n
    • Contracts \- Commercial knowledge.<\/span>\n

    • Negotiating skills.<\/span>\n

    • This role requires eligibility for Secret Level Security Clearance. EBC will support the successful candidate through the required government security screening process to ensure they meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information and sensitive assets.
