Job description

Construction Project Manager - Banking Industry Construction - Base Salary to 100k/year - Milford, OH

  • Our client is an established commercial general contractor specializing in construction projects for financial institutions and other commercial environments. Projects range from renovations and remodels to full ground-up construction. They are seeking a Construction Project Manager to manage commercial projects from preconstruction through completion.
  • The Construction Project Manager will coordinate with internal Estimating and Operations teams, subcontractors, clients, owners, and other project stakeholders to manage schedules, costs, documentation, permitting, change orders, and project execution. This position is primarily based in the Milford, OH office and requires approximately 2–3 days of travel per month, including occasional out-of-state travel. Once established, the position offers the ability to work from home one day per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze construction drawings, blueprints, plans, specifications, contracts, and project documentation
  • Collaborate with the Estimating team during the bidding and preconstruction process
  • Develop scopes of work for subcontractors and construction disciplines
  • Coordinate permitting requirements with the project team
  • Plan, schedule, coordinate, and manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion
  • Manage project costs, revisions, and change orders
  • Coordinate subcontractors, clients, owners, site personnel, and internal project teams
  • Maintain project documentation throughout all stages of construction
  • Travel to project sites and meet with owners as necessary, including occasional out-of-state travel
  • Manage client and owner relationships throughout assigned projects

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in commercial/retail construction
  • Project Management experience required
  • Ground-up construction experience required
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects for a general contractor
  • Experience reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, blueprints, and project schedules
  • Experience with architectural and structural drawings
  • Experience with construction project scheduling, subcontractor coordination, change orders, and project documentation
  • Experience managing client or owner relationships on construction projects
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work full time from the Milford office, with travel and work-from-home days as outlined
  • Ability to travel to different cities/states for 2–3 days a month
  • Ability to meet company security clearance requirements in accordance with applicable laws
