This position is based in our Orlando, FL facility. **Responsibilities:** **Engineering Support:** • Provide technical support to engineering and development teams throughout product development and production phases • Collaborate with engineers to develop and refine reworks and troubleshooting guides • Assist engineers and manufacturing engineers with work instruction redlines and ECR/ECO process • Support test engineers in developing improvements of test procedures • Diagnose and resolve complex issues in EO systems down to the component level • Identify root causes of performance issues and implement effective solutions • Support with fixture design and implementation • Document test failures in the failure reporting system and provide detailed analysis**Documentation and Process Improvement:** • Document test procedures, results, and troubleshooting steps in a clear and concise manner • Maintain up-to-date records of equipment calibration and maintenance • Generate detailed technical reports and analyses based on measurement data • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives**Training and Mentorship:** • Demonstrate expert level knowledge on all assemblies and testing and assist in the training of new technicians • Serve as a technical resource for production and test teams Manufacturing Support (As Needed): • Support production builds and manufacturing test procedures and work instructions as directed • Perform optical or electrical testing and characterization as specified by work instructions • Conduct tests to evaluate the performance of optical mechanical systems and sub-assemblies • Support assembly, testing, debugging, and rework of products during pre-delivery integration, acceptance test, and delivery phases of the product life cycle**•**The successful candidate will be able to work as part of a team and independently, take initiative, and work well with internal and external customers. **Qualifications:** *Required:* **Education:** • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, Photonics, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field. • Equivalent combination of relevant work experience and technical training may be substituted for degree requirements**Experience:** • US citizenship, due to nature of the work and contract requirement • Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience as an electronics technician or engineering technician • Proven experience with the use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of optical and electro-optical test stations/equipment • Experience with CAD Software(SolidWorks) • Experience supporting engineering teams in product development or manufacturing environments**Skills:** • Knowledge of process control, cleanroom operation protocol, and process control for complex opto-mechanical and electro-optical assembly. • Proven technical acumen in the manufacture, test and integration of complex product technologies and systems, DoD or Space. • Ability to read, write, and comprehend detailed written and verbal instructions, assembly instructions, test procedures, schematics, and other engineering documentation • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal • Ability to lift and carry 25-45 lbs. • Knowledge of MIL/IPC workmanship and performance standards related to electronic assemblies IPC-610, IPC-620, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-883, NASA Spec.-**What You Can Expect:****A culture of integrity.**At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
