Description
Springfield College seeks applications for an Assistant Professor of Exercise Science within the Department of Exercise Science. This is a one-year, full-time, nine-month, position within the School of Physical Education, Performance and Sport Leadership beginning August 2026. Expertise in the field, demonstrated excellence in teaching, and a strong commitment to professional endeavors and service activities are expected.

Responsibilities
We are seeking a faculty member with expertise in Nutrition to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses that fall within the Nutrition Minor as well as various undergraduate and graduate programs. Courses will likely include introduction to nutrition, lifespan nutrition, sport nutrition, advanced metabolism, and community nutrition. Additional responsibilities may include serving on thesis committees and academic advising.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:- Minimum of an earned master's degree from a regionally accredited institution in nutrition, exercise science, or closely related discipline.
- Ability to deliver a wide variety of nutrition-based coursework.
- Prior experience teaching in higher education.
Preferred Qualifications:- Registered Dietician, ISSN or other nutrition certification.
- Experience in applied nutrition consultation.
