Position Details

Assistant Professor of Information and Technology Management

The Department of Information and Technology Management (ITM) at The University of Tampa's Sykes College of Business invites applicants for the tenure track assistant professor in Information and Technology Management position to start in fall 2027.

Responsibilities include teaching three four-credit hour courses at graduate and undergraduate levels during each semester in different areas information systems, such as management information systems and programming. The faculty member is also expected to maintain an active research agenda and publish in high quality peer reviewed journals, as well as engage in service and student involvement activities at the department, college, and university levels.

The ITM department offers undergraduate degree programs in business analytics, business information technology, cybersecurity, financial enterprise systems, and management information systems. This is in addition to master's degrees in business analytics, cybersecurity, and information and technology management. The ITM department is housed in a state-of-the-art technology building with advanced cybersecurity labs and computer classrooms.

The candidate must have a Ph.D. or ABD from an AACSB/ABET accredited school in the field of management information systems or related fields. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
