Job description

Position Title: Assistant Product Manager
A growing company in the professional audio, DJ, and stage lighting industry is seeking an Assistant Product Manager to join their team in Las Vegas. This organization is a well-established North American distributor of DJ equipment, pro audio gear, lighting products, and accessories, partnering with manufacturers and retailers across the music industry.
The Assistant Product Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the product development cycle, ensuring that schedules are maintained and communication with vendors is efficient. The position offers a dynamic work environment, where creativity and organization are key to managing multiple tasks. This opportunity also includes participation in tradeshows, providing valuable exposure to the industry. Ideal candidates will thrive in a collaborative setting and possess a strong attention to detail.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $68,000 / Year DOE
Assistant Product Manager Requirements:
• 1-2 years of experience as a junior product manager or product coordinator, including internship experience
• Experience in retail, specifically with products
• Proficiency in Mac OS, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, Slack, and project management software such as Asana
• Bachelor's degree is preferred
• Knowledge of photography and videography is a plus
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Bridge) is preferred
• Understanding of professional audio and DJ equipment, stage lighting, and DMX knowledge is preferred
Highly Preferred
• Knowledge of DJ equipment, stage lighting, or DMX systems
• Professional audio industry experience
• Adobe Creative Suite, Photography, or videography experience
Assistant Product Manager Responsibilities:
• Support the product manager in keeping track of schedules
• Document sample testing and maintain organized records
• Communicate effectively with vendors
• Assist in the design and development cycle
• Conduct market research to inform product strategies
• Work closely with manufacturers and keep internal databases updated
• Assist with product launch schedules and ensure deadlines are met
• Create slideshows for meetings
• Plan and travel to tradeshows, approximately three times a year
