Position Title: Manager Business Development - US West
Position Type: Regular - Full-Time

About the role.
The Business Development Manager- US West is accountable for strengthening McCain's position with priority Western U.S.-based key account customers within the Convenience Store and HMR/Deli segments. This role is responsible for developing strategic customer plans, identifying growth opportunities, and coordinating internal resources to deliver profitable sales growth. The successful candidate will drive sales of McCain Potato and Prepared Food products while building strong customer relationships and managing all aspects of the sales process to achieve business objectives.
you'll be doing.
  • Consistently deliver volume and profit growth targets across assigned customer accounts.
  • Partner closely with broker organizations to understand customer needs and identify opportunities requiring support from internal teams, including Marketing, R&D, Quality Assurance, Finance, and Supply Chain.
  • Manage broker relationships by ensuring active representation of McCain with assigned customers, conducting product training, participating in joint customer calls, and providing ongoing performance feedback.
  • Build and maintain relationships across multiple levels within customer organizations, including Purchasing, Supply Chain, Senior Leadership, Marketing, and Quality Assurance.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal cross-functional partners to align priorities and execute growth strategies.
  • Generate and manage a pipeline of opportunities, including new business acquisition, existing business expansion, and custom product development initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver compelling customer presentations and business reviews that provide insights and solutions for profitable growth.
  • Represent McCain professionally at customer meetings, conferences, seminars, and industry events.
  • Provide accurate monthly sales forecasts through analysis of customer data, market trends, and historical performance.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales opportunities, wins, and losses within Salesforce.
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and RFP processes to achieve optimal business outcomes.
  • Manage budgets responsibly and optimize investments to maximize return on investment.

What you'll need to be successful.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of sales experience within the Foodservice industry.
  • Marketing experience is considered an asset.
  • Proven success in account management, business development, and delivering profitable sales growth.
  • Experience working with broker networks and managing third-party sales relationships.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience utilizing Salesforce or similar customer relationship management systems.
  • Comfort leveraging AI-enabled tools and digital technologies to enhance business performance.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivation, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Required travel around 40% within the territory.

Compensation Package : $97,500.00 - $130,000.00 . USD annually + Bonus eligibility
