ALIYA of Highwood is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in Highwood, Illinois. In this role, you will provide essential support to residents with their daily living activities while delivering compassionate, resident-centered care.     Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
  • Serve meals, assist with feeding, and provide hydration and nourishment between meals.
  • Assist residents with mobility, including transferring, ambulating, repositioning, and range-of-motion activities.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, weights, intake and output, and other assigned observations.
  • Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the shift.
  • Observe residents for changes in physical or emotional condition and promptly report concerns to the licensed nurse.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident care.
  • Promote resident dignity, privacy, and independence while following HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized resident environment.
  • Follow all federal, state, and facility policies, procedures, and infection control standards.
  • Attend required in-service training and maintain active CNA certification.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications
  • Current Illinois Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
  • Current CPR certification preferred or required in accordance with facility policy.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance and safely assist residents with mobility and transfers.
  • Must successfully complete all required background checks and pre-employment screenings.
