Job description

Position Description: Job Description:The Operator runs the production lines and solves simple malfunctions. At the request of the Production Supervisor/Plant Manager, the Operator can be deployed to other positions in production. The Operator needs to ensure continuous running of the line(s) while adhering to quality standards and per the schedule.
Essential Functions
Perform timely and efficient equipment set-ups, and changeovers to minimize production delays
Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of equipment and immediate work environment
Accurately and promptly report daily production, including quality control requirements
Assist in the documentation and disposition of defective materials.
Monitor the process of reporting calibrations to the Production Supervisor
Visual quality control during production run and testing samples during production runs
Resolve minor malfunctions and perform minor repairs to the production line
Report major malfunctions to the Production Supervisor/Plant Manager
Report unsafe situations to the Product Supervisor and/or Plant Manager
Overtime including Saturdays required during busy season (typically September to March), the rest of the year, during off season, overtime is required on an as needed basis.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Critical thinking skills
Machine setup and quality experience preferred.
Communication, and interpersonal skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
