Assistant Plant Controller Jobs in Wisconsin (NOW HIRING)

Operations is a fast-paced environment, and to be an effective Operations Finance Business Partner, you need to be in that environment.  This role is onsite Monday-Friday, 8-5pm. We do not offer a hybrid or fully remote option for this role, but we do offer flexibility for occasional needs that come up in life. The key is balancing personal needs with the business's operational requirements."

• Build Relationships at all levels of the plant including Core Team, Team Leaders, & Floor Members
• Be an integral member of the plants' operations teams supporting strategic direction, identifying key financial opportunities and leading key improvement initiatives
• Play a key role in providing financial support to other parts of the campus network
• Work with team members to create and continuously improve management reporting and performance metrics; educate members on financial acumen and help team members make financially sound decisions
• With the coaching of the Multi Site Plant Controller:
  • Provide financial analysis and actionable business insights to drive key performance metrics
  • Lead aspects of month end, forecasting and annual budgeting processes for the campus; ensure that facility processes are streamlined and align with overall company processes 
  • Assist the Commercial teams in developing meaningful and reliable product cost estimates for new products
  • Critically evaluate business opportunities; prepare financial analysis and recommendations for proposed capital expenditures including return on investment (IRR); assist in capital project closing and postmortem analysis 
• Actively participate in identifying and initiating cost savings from continuous improvement   
• Support the development of procedures and controls that ensure meaningful and reliable product costs and accurate inventories
• Understand all plant business processes and the impact on cost reporting; involvement in all accounting decisions related to plant transactions
• Participate on various project teams
• Other tasks as assigned

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required

• 1-3 years of accounting/analytical experience in a manufacturing environment required

• Proven computer skills required (Intermediate Excel, Word, Powerpoint); SAP preferred but not required
• Proven communication skills, ability to present financial information in a meaningful understandable way
• Highly motivated self-starter with a demonstrated ability to quickly acquire new skills 
• Desire and ability to be a thought leader and change agent in the context of a team environment
• Ability to adapt to and embrace changing work environments

• Travel: Not a ton, less than 10% of your time
• This role is fully onsite at our facilities. Must be willing and able to work onsite on a full-time basis.
